QuestionDoes this vacuum (or any Dyson) have the light on the vacuum to see what's on the floor?

- Answer Hi Holly, this is Kelly with Dyson. Our Cinetic Big Ball Total Clean upright vacuum cleaner does not have a light on the front of the cleaner head. Dyson vacuums have never included a light on the machine itself, as we find most of our owners do clean during the day - or are able to utilize lights at home to clean properly around their home. QuestionCan this vacuum be used on carpet and hardwood floors?

- Answer Hello CJ, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Cinetic Big Ball Total Clean can be used on both carpeting, and hardwood floors. While it does feature a spinning brush bar in the cleaner head, the brush bar can be disabled, so that you're just vacuuming with suction power on your bare floor surfaces. QuestionDoes this Dyson - Cinetic Big Ball Total Clean Bagless Upright Vacuum or any Dyson work well on shag type, high pile rugs? I have a canister and an Upright I switch back and forth to vacuum the high pile rug.

- Answer Hello Berb, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Total Clean features a spinning brush bar, that can be shut off when vacuuming shag type, or other thick/plush carpeting. While there isn't any rotating brush bar vacuums that will not tangle with hair, Dyson vacuums provide enough suction so that most of that type of debris ends up in the canister and not around the brush bar. Our Cinetic Big Ball Total Clean machine is unique in that it has no maintainable filters, the cyclone tips vibrate back and forth to release dust into the canister.
