  • QuestionCan you turn the flood lights and let them stay on all night

    Asked by Jay.

    • Answer The eufy Floodlight Cam E340 is designed to turn on the floodlights when motion is detected, especially during the night for better visibility and to deter potential intruders. However, the lights are not intended to stay on throughout the entire night as a constant light source. The system is built with energy efficiency in mind, and the lights are triggered by motion to conserve energy.

  • QuestionMy front door camera saves events daily without I believe an sd card..Why does my floodlight cam E340 not do the same. the only way I can see a person is if I hit the alert. If I don't do it right away I have no way of seeing who was there at that time.

    Asked by Debbie.

    • Answer The Floodlight Cam E340 (Product Number: T8425) requires additional storage methods to enable event recording or continuous recording. Unlike your front door camera, which may have an embedded storage component like an eMMC chip, the E340 floodlight cam needs one of the following activated storage options to save video recordings: microSD card: Insert a compatible Class 10 microSD card with up to 128GB capacity into the camera. This is required for 24/7 continuous recording. HomeBase 3: You can connect the camera to HomeBase S380 (HomeBase 3) to enable 24/7 continuous recording. Cloud Storage Subscription: Optionally, you can purchase eufy cloud storage services for video storage. If the microSD card is not inserted or the E340 floodlight cam isn't linked to HomeBase, event recording or continuous recording won't work. You can enable 24/7 recording after storage activation through the following steps: Open the eufySecurity app. Go to Settings → Video Settings → Enable Continuous Recording. On the other hand, ensure the camera settings like motion detection types, sensitivity levels, and working mode are correctly configured. Verify that the camera is turned on and not set to "Disarmed" mode, as this will prevent it from detecting or recording any events.

  • QuestionDo you have to have an micro sd card or the homebase if you opt into using the cloud subscription service to look at incidents on camara that were recorded?

    Asked by JohnH.

    • Answer When using the Floodlight Cam E340 with a cloud subscription service, you do not need a microSD card or a HomeBase for viewing and storing recorded incidents. The cloud subscription service allows your video clips to be stored and accessed online. However, without a cloud subscription or local storage (microSD card or HomeBase 3), the camera will not save event video clips. It will still provide live video feed and motion notifications even without these storage options.

  • QuestionIs it necessary to buy cloud storage or can i use my current purchased cloud storage

    Asked by skip.

    • Answer The Floodlight Cam E340 is equipped with a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB, allowing you to store video recordings locally without needing to purchase any cloud storage. However, cloud storage options are typically offered separately for convenience and additional backup. If you already have a separate cloud storage system or service that is compatible, you may not need to purchase additional cloud storage specifically for the camera. This allows flexibility in how you manage your stored footage.
