Yes, you will be able to connect your SC5 to the Google Home App. The SC5 must be enrolled first via the FA App and then can be linked to your Google Home App. You can then just use the GH App to operate it. If using the GH App notifications, you can disable notifications from the FA App. - Maria

QuestionIs the halo light use motion detection like the nest did? I loved that function in the nest so I could be up during the night and see my way and not bother anyone.

- Answer Hi PhilippeS, thank you for your question. No, the halo light on the SC5 detector is not on all the time. During normal operation, the halo LED remains off, so it won’t disturb you if the unit is installed in a bedroom. - Maria

- Answer Hi Sobs, thank you for your question. Yes, the SC5 is the replacement for the Nest Protect model 06A (battery powered) and 06C (hardwired AC power models). Order the correct SC5 for your wiring. For US models: SMCO600NV-AC for AC power and SMCO600NV for battery powered. - Maria

- Answer Hi dhwaldron, the SC5 is not compatible with the Onelink app. To use the SC5 Smart Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm you must first set up the device in the First Alert app, however the halo light levels are not user-adjustable. - Maria
