- Answer This is a freezer even on lowest setting of 4 it still going to freeze food. Doesn't work like a refrigerator, I'm guessing but I would think it would cost a lot more to try to convert it to a frig, if even possible than to buy a refrigerator. Sell the freezer and buy a refrigerator.

- Answer This has a plain front nothing fancy. The cost of the freezer is on the low end. If you are wanting to not see finger prints I would suggest spending more money and get a more expensive freezer that has this option available.

- Answer 120 V. A standard socket. But it pulls a high current when the motor starts, so there shouldn't be much else on the same circuit, and certainly not sensitive electronics.

QuestionLooking for a upright freezer that will work in my garage. I was told the frost free ones aren't for the garage. Will this work in a garage where it get below zero OFTEN for numerous days in the winter?

- Answer All types of freezers are not meant to be placed in a hot garage for energy efficiency, however I have my Frigidaire chest manual freezer in my garage for the past 14 years, still runs but due to the high humidity of the garage moisture forms on the outside, I would try to keep it wiped down but it was a loosing battle after so many years. The moisture caused my door hinges to start rusting and it was then forming moisture around the seal causing ice to form and the door of the chest had a gap damaging the hinges this past year and is just about rusted all the way through; so I bought this upright frost free a month ago and placed it inside; hoping I will keep it beautiful exterior with no rusting.

QuestionWe just bought this freezer. It is really noisy when it's on. I haven't put food in yet. Could it be really nosy because it is empty.

- Answer Yep...Mine is noisy too. My old Crosley was quiet as a mouse. Wanted to upgrade to an upright.. Never dreamed that a new freezer, in this day and ag, would be so noisy. Called support and they told me it had to be this way because of "mandated government laws". It is supposed to be louder than my dishwasher or washing machine! When running it is about 55 decibels. I think that is unacceptable since it's located in a quiet room where my desk is. Next freezer...(Pretty soon) will have to be plugged in before I purchase.
