QuestionIm about to purchase this item - will it help a cold room with visible condensation on the windows and a musky odor to smell fresh again. I do not see any visible mold and the house is extremely clean. I'm perplexed by this WHat is best humidity level?

- Answer It certainly should. We noticed that a mirror in our bedroom was getting fogged up with condensation. After installing the unit, that no longer happens. I just leave mine set on constant, as I appear to have an unlimited supply of moisture in my house. I empty the bucket once in the morning and after I get home from work. My wife also had the great idea to attach one of those clip on car air fresheners to the unit where the dry air blows out.

- Answer You can set it to a specific humidity level and it will kick on or off based on the humidity in the room. There's also a timer on it if you would rather use that option.

QuestionI have a 50 pint Fridgidaire dehumidifier. When I set a humidity level unit runs then goes to 30 on the display and shuts off. Temp in basement is 41 degrees. Rh is about 55%. Unit runs ok in CO mode. Model FDL50S1.

- Answer maybe your air is too dry - or moisture sensor bad - or no more refrigerant - or it may be too cold where you are running it

- Answer I don't know the actual decibel level, but it's fairly quiet, and soothing to sleep to. You can run it only in the daytime, but the space will be very humid for a while even after you turn it on the next day. Kind of damp feeling... I leave mine on.

- Answer Hi there. We can provide you with a range, however it will also depend on the moisture in the room. We recommend, for a 50 pint, between 500 and 700 sq ft. The higher the moisture in the room the lower the square foot it would cover. Hope this helps. Kindly, Anna

QuestionMy actual humidity% stopped showing on the display. If I switch it to CO, it just keeps reading CO instead of the actual %. I need to closely monitor my humidity since I had a mold problem. Turning off/on doesn't help. Is there a reset or is it broken?

- Answer Did you set it to a desired humidity threshold? "CO" means continuous operation... so it's not going to stop until- 1) you set to a desired humidity 2) the collection reservoir is full 3) you deprive it of power If you are that worried about mold forming so quickly, leave on a low humidity or CO.
