- Answer Personally, I would perhaps get a new filter. The one you have may have been bad for some reason. If still not OK, I would have your fridge checked, i.e. the water lines coming in as well as in your fridge, there may be something in the line.

QuestionI changed my Pure Source 2 filter and now the light is redThe filter status light on the front of the started out orange then turned red as I ran the water through. I tried a different new filter with the same result. It is a Side by side with a Pure Source 2 filtration system. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

- Answer Once the filter has been replaced and purged, hold the filter reset button down for about 5 seconds. If the indication light does not reset back to green, try resetting the unit completely. Unplug for 30 seconds, plug it back in. Thank you, Frigidaire

QuestionRefrigerator has a smell and water has a nasty taste. Changed the filter ,and it still smells and water still tastes bad, The food has bad taste too. Ice doesn’t look like it used to.yes and I took the cap off filter....this is driving me crazy.....HELP!

- Answer Hello. To clean the interior and door liners, we recommend using two tablespoons of baking soda in one quart of warm water. Be sure to wring excess water out of sponge or cloth before cleaning around controls, light bulb or any electrical part. This should help with interior smell and food. Be sure to remove any old items and check for spills under the drawers. You can also check the water line and dispense 5-10 cups of water to ensure water entering refrigerator is clean. Additional tips on cleaning your refrigerator are available in the Care & Cleaning section of the provided owner’s manual. Best Wishes, Anna

- Answer Did you remove the plastic caps from the filter before you tried inserting it? I once forgot to then bent the receiving end before trying to the reinstall and it wouldn’t line up. Therefore I had to order another interior piece because it was defective.

- Answer Hello, We appreciate your inquiry. Based on what you described though the filter light has been reset, the unit not producing ice is a sign of a partially clogged filter. It is recommended that a filter is replaced about every 6 months based on usage. If this time has expired please purchase a new filter as once the filter is completely clogged no water will be available to the dispenser. Thank you.
