QuestionDoes this device require any WiFi connection?

- Answer No. When operating the GPS in your vehicle you do not require any WiFi connection. YES. You do need an internet connection to update the GPS. Before using in my car, I plugged the supplied USB cable into my home PC which of course has an internet connection. Eventually I will need to do another update when the maps need updating.

- Answer No, this model doesn’t include any RV specific routing. The Garmin RV series includes detailed maps for North America that also include RV-related restrictions – like bridge heights, sharp curves, weight limits and more – and related information for most major roads and highways. It also includes a directory of RV parks and services.

QuestionI want to get a new Garmin for my boyfriend who owns a 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis. The car compatibility box says this Garmin won't work in this car. In fact, none or the Garmins will work. Suggestions?

QuestionI just bought a Garmin 51LM- I’ve plugged it in but it won’t do anything. It just says Garmin....the, very unhelpful, sales associate mentioned a disk but said I didn’t need it until I wanted to update my maps what am I doing wrong?

- Answer if it is plugged into computer it will only show garmin screen. if you want to use it you have to plug into wall

- Answer The only thing it needs is a power supply. If you don’t have a socket they are available to buy and can be easily fitted.
