Q: QuestionYet Another XL QuestionSeems kind of silly to be the only place to get this device and STILL not have the XL size available. Other have said (including Garmin) that the XL will be available by the end of November. It is now mid December. Will the XL be available for Christmas.

Q: QuestionvIvosmart HR XL size availability?On several occasions - as recently as this week - I was told by Garmin that the XL size would be available at Best Buy on either 11/23 or the week of 11/23. The answers on this site are completely opposite that, which I find very disturbing. Similarly, when you go to Best Buy and tell them that Garmin says the XL will be there that week, they look at you as if you have three eyes. Less disturbing but more than mildly annoying is the printed statement on the boxes of other sizes to go to the Garmin website for the XL size which just refers you back to Best Buy and a circular loop of nonsense. You guys should do better

Q: QuestionIf you don't use any of the notifications how long does the battery last?I was really hoping Garmin would come out with the vivofit 2 running on replaceable batteries and bands with a heart rate sensor built in. I wonder how long the watch battery would last for that.

Q: QuestionVivosmart HR for racket sports?I play badminton and wonder if the vivosmart HR can track heartrate and calories burned during play? Or is the optical sensor rather not suitable for racket sports?

• A:Answer You can choose, running, cardio, or other when you're working out. Once you choose one the heartrate monitor is on continually. And it will track calories burned as well. It will also track the intensity of the workout based on your heartrate.

Q: QuestionDoes it track your run and synchronize it with the HR data using GPS enabled applications?Can it connect to another application to synconize the distance and map of my run? If not can I later on synchronize the run from different application (GPX file) with the heart rate data from the vivosmart HR?

• A:Answer The VIvosmart HR doesn't have GPS, but does have a step counter for the activity monitoring function, and a "RUN" mode specifically for that activity. From my experience, the step counter is not as accurate. I use a Garmin 920XT that I wear instead when I go out for longer runs (anything over 3-4 miles) that does have a GPS. The Garmin Connect app doesn't seem to have a way to deduplicate the data if I were to use my 920xt at the same time as the Vivosmart HR in Run mode.

• A:Answer The vívosmart HR can last up to 5 days without charging. The amount of notifications the user is receiving can affect the battery life. You can turn off certain notifications to conserve the battery life. You can charge the device connected via USB to your computer or with an AC adapter. It can take up to 2 hours to fully charge. Q: QuestionWhen will the NEW Vivofit HR (in the extra large size) be available to purchase on line or in store?Apparently the email announcing that pre-orders were available would allow orders only in the large size (in the color black) rather than extra large, which is by far the most popular size among most men and many women.
