A:AnswerHello! This is Lida with GE Appliances. The microwave can be placed in a cabinet as long as it has 3" on all side and the top and rear. It sounds like you have exactly the minimum clearances, so the microwave should have enough air flow around it to use it for extended periods of time. Thanks for checking!

A:AnswerHello TimH - Model JES1072SHSS is not able to be mounted under a cabinet, it can only be installed sitting on a countertop. If you have a model that uses the under cabinet mounting kit JXA019K, it has been replaced by part number WX4-A019 which can be ordered here: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/WX4-A019

A:AnswerHi there, we're so sorry to hear your turntable has been screeching. This is never what we want to see for our consumers so we can imagine how worrisome this is. We first suggest the following tips: 1) Check the turntable to make sure it is placed right side up. If the turntable plate is upside down it will drag on the floor of the microwave. 2) Check to make sure that there is no food or debris under the "wheels" of the turntable ring. Food can prevent the wheels from moving forward.
Be certain you are pressing a cook function rather than a timer function. 3) If the microwave has a turntable on/off feature make sure the turntable was not inadvertently turned off. Try depressing the turntable on/off pad to re-engage the turntable. If the problem persists, we recommend scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737). We hope this is found useful and we're wishing you the best. - Guy@GEA
A:AnswerHi there - Great question! We comply with all federal, state and international requirements regarding hazardous substances and meet those standards. We also comply with federal and state chemical labeling laws, like California Proposition 65. The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe or poses a health risk. Over 800 chemicals are on this list, including wood dust, nickel (found in stainless steel), nicotine, and alcohol. Additionally, even inaccessible parts can cause the warning. We can understand your concern; however, we do not provide detailed information about what causes the Prop 65 warning to apply. Thanks so much for checking! -Mikayla
