QuestionWe have been using this oven since July. Today I noticed the display is not lit. I checked the fuse box and all is fine. I used the air fryer and microwave last night and all seemed fine. Anyone have any suggestions on what to try? Thanks!

- Answer You may need to set the clock. I had a power outage and the display was out until I set the clock again.

QuestionI am new to this. The unit arrived today. I haven't unboxed it or set it up yet. But I downloaded the online users manual and was skimming through it. It mentions, under combination cooking, a C1 and C2 settings. How do you know which to use, C1 or C2?

- Answer It depends on whether you want microwave with convection (hot air circulation) of microwave with broiling (upper heating element). They're similar to the conventional oven. You can also read some recommendations of which methods to use for various cooking scenarios in the later section.

QuestionIt looks like there is a heating element/coil at the back of the unit. Is this supposed to be heating/glowing during convection bake? It appears that only the top heating element is glowing - as I would expect with broil, but not with convection.

- Answer There's a fan in the back of the unit to circulate the warmed air during the convection baking. The only heating coil is in the top of the unit.

- Answer I don't think so. I keep a small flashlight next to my microwave so I can see the buttons. Very poor design by G.E., but I really like the microwave.

QuestionAbout how long does it take for it to preheat in convection mode? Does cooking in convection take shorter than cooking something in a standard oven? What about compared to a toaster oven?

- Answer It only takes a minute or so. It’s faster than heating a large oven. There’s also a preheat override I think. I downloaded the manual and printed it out. I don’t have a toaster oven so I can’t answer that.

- Answer Hello there, thank you for reaching out with this question. Metal cookware and foil can only be used in the convection bake, broil, and air fry cooking modes. It should not be used in any cooking modes that require the microwave heating element, as this could cause arching. - Answer No, this model is designed as a countertop model only. We do not recommend installing it in tight or enclosed spaces, such as a cabinet. It requires 3" of air clearance on both sides and the top, and 1" of clearance at the rear. The front edge of the microwave, measured at the door, should sit at least 3" or more back from the edge of the counter or shelf to help prevent accidental tipping.
