Q: QuestionWe have a GE Spacemaker Over the Stove Microwave Model #JVM1630BJ02. We now want to replace it with a new one. Which new model # would you recommend? There is a vent pipe above the microwave in cabinet & also a grill above the front of the microwave.

If the microwave is converted to recirculating (ventless), the charcoal filter included (WB02X11550- $8.75 at GEApplianceparts.com) should be replaced when it is noticeably dirty or discolored (usually after 6 to 12 months, depending on usage). • A:Answer Should work fine. 13 to 16" is the standard, although at the lower range, (13 or 14) microwave vent may occasionally turn on by itself if it feels heat underneath becoming excessively high.

Q: QuestionI have to replace my current black GE Profile which I would describe as having a "high gloss" finish. These new models appear to have a "matte" finish. Do I just have to live with the fact that a new GE microwave will not match my other appliances?
