Q: QuestionI need to replace GE Profile Microwave model PEB2060SM that was installed using a trim kit - What is a suitable replacement so I can reuse the trim kit? Thanks.

• A:Answer Thanks for checking with us. This particular model (GCST20S1WSS) is a countertop only model and can't be built-in with a trim kit. We recommend model PCWK22U1WDD and one of the following trim kits that are approved. X7227SLSS (Stainless steel); JX7230SLSS (Stainless steel). We don't have a current microwave that will allow you to use your trim kit. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for the specific microwave model so that the trim kit fits the microwave and provides the proper air flow that it needs. Thank you! • A:Answer This microwave is intended for countertop use only. It is not approved for a built-in installation with a trim kit. You also cannot reuse a trim kit for another microwave unit as each microwave is going to have a custom one made for that specific unit. Dianna@GE Appliances

Q: QuestionI need to replace my current built in microwave GE model PEB7227SL1SS. 14”H x 24 1/8” W x 19 3/4” D. Will this model work? Or what is the closest GE product that would fit and would I be able to use my current trim kit?

• A:Answer This is a countertop microwave only. It is not approved to be built in. We have model PCWK15C1WSS that is closest in size to your current unit. Your space will need to be slightly modified for this model. You'll also need to ensure you use the hardware and brackets that come with the new microwave, as they are model specific. -Kacie@GEAppliances

Q: QuestionDoes the door open with the apparent button on the lower right? How hard is it to push? We have to yank the door open on our current unit (different mfr). You end up needing both hands to open it, or else risk yanking the whole oven off the counter.

Q: QuestionI have found two models with same model number for GE JES2051SNSS Microwave Oven… one is plastic ? With child lock which I think you sell the other is in other stores labeled old which they sell for $299 and it is stainless steel, which do you sell?

• A:Answer Yes, this microwave is designed to be placed on your counter top. We do recommend a minimum of 3" of air clearance on each side and at the top as well as 1" minimum clearance in the back. We also recommend the microwave be placed a minimum of 3" from the front edge of your counter top to prevent accidental tipping during normal usage. -Vikki@GEAppliances

• A:Answer The cord is 3 feet long. But it connects to the top back corner of the microwave (1 foot above counter level). So if your outlet is at counter level some of the length will be needed to reach it.

Q: QuestionIs there a trim kit that fits this oven? We had this same model from 2005 and the installer used what looks to be a legit kit. It had two rails with stops and a four piece SS frame. See picture. The newer model is not exactly the size of the 05 model.
