Q: QuestionIs this store model RF32FMQDBSR different with model at Samsung website?It raises the flag when I am checking this frig in stores and Samsung website. There are two differences of the product. Store claims that the frig is 31.7 cu and estimate energy using is $61. By checking the official Samsung website, it describe the product is 30.4 cu and estimate yearly energy using is $89. Please verify which one is correct? Thank you.

The change in the capacity from 31.7 cubic feet to 30.4 cubic feet, and in the estimated yearly energy usage from $61 to $89, are a result of changes to Energy Star's measurement and testing standards that went into effect in September 2014. The actual design and efficiency of the refrigerator hasn't changed; though the information may not yet have been updated everywhere to reflect the new standards. These changes are industry-wide and not specific to Samsung. - Ms. Samsung

Q: QuestionHow much space does this refrigerator need to work efficiently since there are vents on both side?We took measurements from the website before making the ref enclosure for our new kitchen. This refrigerator fits snugly in it. We didn't realize the vents are on the sides and not at the back of the machine.

• A:Answer Thanks for choosing Samsung! The RF32FMQDBSR and several other Samsung Refrigerators have vents on the side in addition to the back to help increase their energy efficiency. Samsung recommends leaving at least 3/8" on each side of the Refrigerator as well as 1" behind it for air circulation and ease of movement. - Ms. Samsung

Q: QuestionGetting it through the door!I just measured my doorway and its only 35", the narrowest measurement on the fridge is larger than that. Do the doors safely come off the refrigerator for delivery purposes? I really want this fridge!!!

• A:Answer When mine was delivered, it came with the doors already off. The installers had to put the doors on after it was in the kitchen. Even then, it barely squeaked through the door.

Q: QuestionWill this model be available in counter depth?I would LOVE to buy this fridge, but am constrained by the size of the cooking area of my kitchen. Do you know if it will become available as a counter depth model? If it will, I would be willing to wait until that model comes to market.

Q: QuestionRefrigerator was an outstanding appliance for the first 4 years. The upper compartment has failed and will not cool. Many people have had this problem (google search for samsung forum) Samsung will not fix without charging you. Do you have same problem?

• A:Answer I have had the same issues. Been working with Samsung for a while. To make it worse, the fridge uses R600 refrigerant which no one wants to work on.

I don't have all of the interior dimensions available, but I can tell you that the freezer compartment is likely to be limited more by width than by depth in fitting a large pizza box, since they're deeper than they are wide. The compartment is 15" wide, and the usable space within the drawers is 12-1/2" wide. - Ms. Samsung

Q: QuestionWill Samsung make a 4-door french door refrigerator that isn't a flex?I would like a 4-door french door unit with the top half refrigerator and bottom half freezer. No need for the extra expense to have a flex section. I do not like the sliding freezer drawer that most french door units have. Also, as other people have commented, this unit is too tall for my application. Will Samsung ever make this style of refrigerator with a 69.5-inch (or less) cabinet height?

• A:Answer Thanks for your interest in the RF32FMQDBSR. I can't speculate about future models, but can tell you that at this time Samsung makes two types of "4-door" Refrigerators: the ones with the pull-out freezer drawer bins and middle Flex Zone Drawer; and the type with the convertible Flex Zone compartment in the lower right. The former is about 68-7/8" tall without the hinges and 70" with them. The latter is available in heights ranging from 68-7/8" to 71-3/4" tall without the hinges, 70" to 72-7/8" with them. - Ms. Samsung

• A:Answer I found a Black Friday sale on Goedeker's website for $2,089; tax and shipping included. Best Buy was easily persuaded to match the price. I don't believe Goedeker's still has the same advertised sale, but I'd bet Best Buy would match most legitimate sales.

Q: QuestionWould you change your review after owning it over one year?I am not a fan of water and ice dispensers on the outside of the fridge. I prefer clean lines and just an inside ice maker. Does Samsung have any plans to produce this type of model in the future and if so when would that be? Also reviewed many websites and it is clear that buyer complaints are mainly frustrated with ice maker performance and bad customer service. Does Samsung have plans to address the ice maker issue with a newer improvement version and when will that be available? Seems those that do not complain about the ice maker have not owned the unit very long, so wondering if anyone would change their review now that they've owned it a while longer ????

• A:Answer I will never ever buy another Samsung product. After one year the compressor went out on this unit. Best Buy sent someone out within 3 weeks (yes, 3 weeks) to diagnose it. It was not repairable. Samsung made good on the warranty. It took them over two months to issue me a check. I had to call Samsung every week for updates, staying on the phone over and hour and a half with each call. Best Buy refunded my Black Tie warranty right away. Done with Samsung.
