A:AnswerIndeed there is, they sell packages of several cameras together, or you can buy several and add them all to your Nest account. I have 4 currently and am adding 2 more soon. The Nest Aware service drops by $50 for the year with each additional camera, and you can pick which ones you want to have the 10-30 day recordings on.
A:AnswerIndeed it does, it has nightvision via LEDs built into the camera, and this can be turned on or off. As far as feet, if you mean distance, there is no limit, basically if you see it in the view, you see it in the view.
A:Answerdepends on the lighting, just like any camera, if it is brighter outside it will work, but if not then the night vision does not work.
best to mount outside.
A:AnswerAbsolutely. However, you will need a phone that can "fling" video to your tv, either an Apple TV or Chromecast. Before the Apple TV got its own Nest app, I used Airplay to send the live feed to my TV.
A:AnswerIf the camera is installed somewhere that the vehicle is in view and has its plate towards the camera, yes. If the car is parked facing away from it, no, as the camera isn't magic and cant see through things. At night the plate is hard to read due to the night vision and the reflective coating on the plate, so don't expect to get a plate number in the dark unless the contrast of the plate is good or the reflective coating is dull (or has none).
A:AnswerYes. You would do this through the app when you set up your zones. You have to have a Nest Subscription to do the Zone part, but as long as you are willing to do that - you would be set. The alerts can go to as many emails as you want. The pop up alerts on your phone come through the app. So as long as everyone has the app on their phone, they will get the pop up alerts.
A:AnswerThe wifi range will actually depend upon the range of your wifi source. You can test the range of your source by using a device such as a smart phone and see the strength of your wifi connection, If the connection is in range of your phone it should be in range for the camera.
