Q: QuestionHave 2 TV's, one in each room. How do I hook this tuner up to stream live local channels & other shows to both tv sets? Both sets are Samsung TVs. My router is downstairs in work room, while both tv's are upstairs? How many channels?

• A:Answer I hooked mine up to the router, then I used the Plex app on my computer to record shows or to cast shows to any Tv in the house as long as the tv can receive wifi you are good. If you have a tv that can not receive wifi you can pick up a roku or fire to receive single. You may have a problem with your router location because you have to locate the antenna part of the unit where you can receive a good single.

• A:Answer You need a antenna connected , ethernet cable is the only available connection to router and if you want it to work as a DVR you have to pay a yearly fee or use a NAS drive that SSH capabilities for it to record. It will not work with your TV unless you have some way of running the HDHOMERUN program or app on your TV. Or some other type of streaming device that can display it on your TV. If I understand the question correctly.

• A:Answer The device comes with a DVR plan that you can pay for (not required). However, you can choose to use your own DVR option that does not cost anything. I personally use Plex. I am unfamiliar with Tivo, but if Tivo does not require a monthly service, then you wouldn't pay a monthly bill.
