- Answer Thank you for the question. The HP 14a-ne1013dx Chromebook does not have a backlit keyboard. You can use a Chromebook offline or using Google Doc, Sheets, and Slides, watch downloaded content, take notes, read saved web pages, and view/edit photos. You can also read, respond to, and search emails if you've enabled offline mode in Gmail.
