- Answer Hi. The DeskJet plus 4155 needs to have the full HP scanning software loaded or use HP Smart on a smartphone or tablet to scan. From a computer you launch a scan from the PC and it will save the information in a folder on your pc or on cloud storage.

- Answer It does not come with a USB printer cable. However, you can connect through WiFi, and if you're replacing a printer that used a USB printer cable, that same cable will work.

QuestionDo I purchase both black and tricolor ink to use this printer? I don’t plan to use color much?

- Answer The printer will ship with both cartridges, and you'll need both of them for the initial setup of the printer. After that, you don't actually need the color cartridge. It's always nice to be able to print in color when you want to, but it's not a requirement to use the printer.

- Answer The HP Deskjet Plus 4155 printer does have the USB port, but the USB cable is not included. You would need the USB A to B cable, if you do not have one.

- Answer If the tricolor ink cartridge runs out, you can take out the empty tricolor ink cartridge. The HP Deskjet Plus 4155 printer will go into the single-cartridge mode automatically, then you can print with only the black ink cartridge.
