QuestionThis model is upgraded from Model: 15m-ed1023dx SKU: 6429424, and the only difference is 12 GB RAM upgraded to 16 GB. But the price looks the same. Is there any other differences between the two? The same price sounds too good to be true. 3 reviews so far

- Answer I have been looking at both of these models as well.it appears when comparing the specs the main difference I can see besides the memory are the new 15m-es has a LCD screen, DDR4 and a Thundebolt 4 type C port and 3.1 usb type A ports. The 15m-Ed has a LED screen , DDR4 SDRAM and has no Thunderbolt port and 3.0 usb type A ports and a type C port. I used the compare for this

QuestionI bought this item and wish to connect it to 2 HP E233 monitors (i.e., to extend the display so that my desktop shows across both monitors). I have 1 monitor currently connected by HDMI - will splitting the HDMI output work - or what other options?

- Answer Honestly, I don't think you can split the HDMI and have it operate as two independent monitors. I believe you'll have to get a dock of some sort. If you don't want to get a dock, you can use the thunderbolt port for the second monitor. You'd just have to get a HDMI to thunderbolt adapter. They are pretty easy to get.

- Answer It’s actually much more sturdy than I originally thought. The screen is very rigid when flipping to tablet mode, and doesn’t wobble when in standard laptop mode. I always suggest getting a carrying case to keep it in for on the go and general storage.

- Answer Hi Lexi, thank you for the question. Do you have the 13-m-bd0023dx? In comparing that with this Envy 15m-es0023dx you'll find that aside from the larger touchscreen, the 15m has twice the RAM, a numberic keypad on the backlit keyboard and about the same battery life of the 13m. (depending on usage and settings). That would be a nice step up and you should get the same performance if not better, due to the increased RAM.

- Answer Actually, they're both correct-but that requires a little explanation. The processor's base frequency is 2.8 GHz, but that's like the idle speed of a car engine. As the workload on the computer increases, the processor can speed itself up to 4.7 GHz.

- Answer Actually, they both are. The lower speed is the "base speed"-think of that like the idle speed of a car engine. But as the workload on the computer increases, the processor speeds itself up (again, just like car engine). The maximum speed for the processor is 4.7 GHz

QuestionI noticed one of the questions asked if RAM is upgradable to 32 GB RAM, which HP answered no it is not. Although I am seeing compatible upgrades for RAM on Crucial website for this model, which is a company HP suggests using for RAM upgrade through HP.
