Q: QuestionPlease confirm that this all-in-one will scan to a PDF? I just purchased a model that will not do that and it is going back :(

• A:Answer Yes. The HP MFP521 will scan to your network folder or scan and send to your email. You’ll need to install the full software suit for this functionality. Be sure to download the installer from HP. And update the firmware immediately. Do not use the CD provided as its outdated.

Q: QuestionIf it scans is it automatically JPEG or do we have a PDF option. 50 pages how big can the file size be?

• A:Answer You can set pdf as the default and chose from a few quality settings like 150 or 300 dpi as well as color or b&w. I find no size limit or page limit. If you’re scanning to email, you might run into size issues with your email provider, but if you scan to your network drive, 50 pages should be no problem.

Q: Questiondoes this printer also print photos and work as a photo printer - I want laser printer with fax and email and remote print options along with high quality photo printing. I also want ease of adding ink etc.

• A:Answer This has a fax forwarding feature that will forward your fax to another fax number, not directly to a computer. If you have an additional eFax or similar service, then it should work by forwarding to that number. I use this feature when traveling.

• A:Answer While it says 2 trays, one is in front while the other is out the back. For me the back tray is useless. I purchased the additional 500 sheet add on tray which installs in under a minute and well worth it.
