- Answer Good question. Yes, you can print pictures on card stock on this printer. The printer can take up to 110 lb. card stock. The most you can put into the paper tray is 30 sheet of card stock. QuestionWhy are scanned files so large?A four page scan has a size of 2.2 MB. The same pages scanned on a Cannon copier is 325 KB and the quality looks the same. Why are the files so large? Can the scans be make a small file size?

- Answer The problem may be your document type. What I mean by document type, is whether you are saving it as a PDF, JPG, BMP or DOC...etc. Also, Canon may also simply use a higher compression algorithm. HP software may allow you to compress your scanned image at a higher compression, however you will have to compare your results to see if a higher compression diminishes the document quality. Hope this helps...

- Answer Yes, it's 10.10 compatible. While it comes with a CD, you won't need it. You should be able to download and install the support software (the basic printer drivers are included in all OS X installations).

- Answer You don't have to fan out the paper. I know what you mean , my last printer was the same....temperamental. Haven't had any issues like that with this one. I just grab a stack of paper ( I'm guessing 50 sheets) and load them in with no problem.

- Answer Yes it does. Look on the left side toward the front of the printer. There is a small area that requires you to depress and the opening exposes the card slot.
