A:AnswerFrom past experience I only use new HP ink cartridge's. Two times I received refills not completely full. They also may flood the print head making it a mess. I never had any luck with refills.
A:AnswerI would think you would either scan the photo into your computer or laptop and then print it onto photo paper? Or just place photo paper into the feeder and copy the photo directly using the 'copy' feature?
A:AnswerThis printer prints better photos than my last "Photo" printer. Using the HP software also gives the use a choice of settings including printer features which lets you choose normal, best, and maximum DPI. I did not opt to use the insta ink feature, but I did read that every time you print a page, any page, it counts towards your page limit.
A:AnswerI use the Office Jet Pro #6978 printer every day, but I am still on the ink that came with the machine. I have purchased replacements, but they are still in my desk drawer.
A:AnswerWe turned it on, it asked to connect to wifi on the screen, we didn't even use a tablet or pc. Put password in and it immediately became another access point for other devices.
A:AnswerComes with a starter kit, but would recommend you purchase a full complement of the ink cartridges to have on hand. Not available at too many retail outlets, due to the newness of the model.
A:AnswerNot having had your printer model (6830) I can only answer for this one (6978), no issues to date. As they say: "Works for me."
You might consider to do a search for that model & issues on the net.
A:AnswerAll cartridges have to be installed but not all have to be used. With the HP instant ink program, you only pay by the number of pages printed, not the content. You save about 50% on the cost of the ink, so print anything you want.
A:AnswerIt says it show being online but not connected to my laptop after every time I make a copy or print a few times. I have to reload it often each day.
A:AnswerThank you for the question. PCL3 is not part of the model number. It stands for "Printer Control Language". Chances are that you won't need to be concerned with it unless using for business or the software that you use needs a particular driver. Printer Control Language is a language (essentially, a set of command codes) that enables applications to control HP DeskJet, LaserJet, and other HP printers. Many personal computer users find themselves in need of PCL drivers (small programs that interface between the operating system and the printer) after purchasing a new HP or HP-compatible printer and attaching it to their existing PC and operating system. PCL drivers are available for downloading from HP.com.
