A:Answer If you buy from Best Buy, the computer will come with the standard 1 year warrantee from HP that does not include accidental damage. Best Buy will offer you Geek Squad extended service plans that can be very comprehensive and are very convenient, but they are rather expensive in my opinion. However, if you contact HP soon after the purchase, you can get extended service plans directly from them that includes accidental damage from drops, spills etc. and are much less expensive than a similar Best Buy plan. If convenience is a primary concern, the Best Buy service plan may be better, but, if you have a back-up computer that you can use, while your computer is being serviced, the HP plans are the way to go. You could call HP directly if you want to know if their extended service plan is international.
