The cosmos comes with "Inside-Out" tracking which means it has built in sensors (6 to be exact). Though it is supposed to work well, "outside-in" tracking (external trackers watching you) is still the most efficient for tracking, move latency, etc. The cosmo's is compatible with also using "Outside-In" tracking via Steam VR 1.0/2.0 Lighthouses BUT you must buy a special faceplate to enable this feature. We run arcades and distribute VR Treadmills and its a bummer as this changes our packages in a negative way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure what you mean by sensors. Vive Cosmos no longer requires the base stations that the original Vive required. It has 6 cameras on the headset for tracking and redesigned controllers.
