A:AnswerI would buy the optical cable. Obviously, if you are using this, you do not like the sound from the current source. Quite often that problem persists through the analog connection to this sound bar. Using the optical connection will quite possible resolve that issue. I had the same concerns but bought the optical cable due to some research I had performed. I tested both the analog (RCA) cables and the optical and the difference was astounding. The source had terrible sound through its speakers and I am certain the digital signal is handled much better by that unit than the analog (RCA) cables.
A:AnswerThe manual for your RCA television states that your model has 1 optical audio output; therefore, it should work with this Insignia Soundbar. You will need to acquire an optical audio cable of sufficient length to connect to the soundbar. Set your television audio to PCM mode (this adjustment is automatically set on mine whenever I select the soundbar) and select input 1 on the soundbar. My bedroom is 14X20 and this soundbar is an affordable upgrade for a large bedroom.
A:AnswerI use the optical input and have no problem with sound from my tv. However, the sound input is connected to my directv receiver optical output.
A:AnswerI don't have an optical cable but you might try the included RCA audio cable (with the red and white plugs). That's what I'm using and I have no problem with Netflix.
A:AnswerTry getting a sound bar like I did. I couldn't get any sound on my Sharp Aquos tv so finally I bought a sound bar and I have sound again! I paid less than $100 with the 3 year geek squad protection just in case. Try it and keep your receipt in case, but it solved my sound problem.
A:AnswerDepends on what remote you have. You can google search Xfinity soundbar codes. Some remotes require a 4 digit code and some a 5 digit code. Look up codes by the model number on the remote.
A:AnswerThanks for the answers. I discovered i had a coaxial digital output which required a different cable plus a converter and a regular digital cable to the soundbar
