QuestionIve seen several posts complain about the smell this unit emits. Mine did the same thing after one full summer. Smells like vinegar or dirty feet. QUESTION: IS IT OK TO USE "EVAP FRESH DISINFECTANT/COIL CLEANER" TO RID THE SMELL? Or, CONDENSATE PAN TABS?

- Answer In the Cool or Dry operating mode, you can press and hold the fan button on the control panel or the FAN button on the remote control to make the fan run continuously. QuestionI’m afraid that a animal or insect will enter from the vent from e outside it’s just a big open hole of course the hot air is blowing out how do I prevent that from happening is there like a filter something I can put there so I don’t risk that

QuestionWhen using Dry mode why is it required to disconnect the vent hose? I dont understand why venting the hot air outside in Dry mode would be an issue.

- Answer Don't know if Insignia will read this. Based on the answer they just gave this person, they need to redo some manuals. My too-short manual reads as if you should remove your exhaust hose. (NOT DRAIN HOSE people! I hook up a drain hose when using dry mode.) I've never been told to remove an exhaust host before which would expel the hot air into same room you are trying to cool and dehumidify.

Portable Air Conditioner - White move up and down continuously and can be adjusted to your preferable angle however, you need to seek/contact a professional since manually adjusting the vent angle might damage the vent.
