QuestionI want to have a mouse and a flash drive plugged in at the same time to my laptop. Is the power cord so the hub will work when attached to a computer or to be able to charge other devices separately from the computer?

- Answer The power cord is provided to charge devices with a USB cord (phone, tablet, smartwatch, etc.). To use it as "extra" ports on a computer for mouse/keyboard, you just need to plug the USB cord into an existing USB port on the computer. The hub will draw power from the computer, no need to use the power cord.

QuestionI have an hp elite book and want to connect my monitor to it. The laptop has one USB port. Will this allow me to connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to the laptop?

- Answer The mouse and keyboard should definitely be able to connect. The monitor will only work with this if you have a cable that allows the monitor to connect to USB. I believe most monitors use VGA, DP, or HDMI, so make sure you have the appropriate adapter to connect the monitor.

- Answer This should work with any computer that has USB ports. I personally have 2 of these next to each other on my laptop and it works just fine for me.

- Answer That is not how USB works. each port is individually addressed. Basically Computers are smart and can read both simultaneously
