A:AnswerIt depends on the TV because I have an Insignia TV and I tried to use it to plug in my Roku into the TV but the power wasn't strong enough with the USB and it would cut off from time to time and it reads on the screen, when I plugged in the USB adapter that USB isn't available. So you would have to I believe make sure the USB adapter is compatible and possibly different from this 2.0 version.

A:AnswerI was able to connect my 1 TB external drive. I could copy files from that drive to my Mac mini. However, I could not write to the drive because the format of the drive is Windows NT File System NTFS. It is read only. I was unable to change that. I am able to read and write to standard USB sticks.
