A:Answer I really cannot confirm that you'll be able to do this. You should as the cable automatically loads the software on each computer; however, I use the cable successfully between my Windows 10 PC and my Apple iMac. You may have an issue between Windows 10 and Windows 7 PCs as you're working with an older operating system. In all likelihood you should be able to interface the two systems using this cable. The only issue I had with the cable was correctly configuring the two systems, but as you're looking at two PCs that are essentially the same in more ways than I experienced, this shouldn't be a problem. Give it a shot ... hopefully you'll be satisfied with the results.
