- Answer We just purchased it a couple of weeks ago, so we haven’t had to defrost it yet. I’m sure you will need to empty the freezer. I’m not aware of a drain.

QuestionI bought Insignia 7 cu ft upright freezer few days back and I already have 5 cu ft chest refrigerator. Can I plug both in one power extension.

- Answer You can but I would suggest that you use a power strip with it's own breaker in it. They run less then 10 dollars and make it much safer for you, your home and your appliances. With a power strip if there is a surge it will blow right on the end of the strip instead of at the breaker box. You reset it by just turning the switch all the way off then back on again. If for any reason it keeps going off, try one appliance at a time. This will let you know if one of them is bad. If it blows the switch no matter what you do, the power strip is probably bad and needs replacement.

QuestionI just got this freezer yesterday and followed all instructions, let it stand for 30 minutes before plugging in, etc. It's making a lot of gurgling noises. It's fully cooled inside now as it's been 24 hours, but it's still making noise. Why?

- Answer My freezer did not make that sound when we powered it on. Maybe try calling the manufacturer to see if they have a fix If you have the patience for that. I would call Best Buy and see about having it swapped out. Sorry yours is doing this.
