A:AnswerIt appears there is now a Rocketfish branded version of this. The Insignia does not support the Switch OLED for full-resolution output and doesn't appear to be getting any firmware update support to fix that.
A:AnswerNo, as long as you buy the standard Switch it comes with a dock for hooking up to tv. These additional docks are for people that want to move their Switch to a different room and play on a different tv. Do not buy the Switch Lite though if you want to hook up to tv as that is a handheld only.
A:AnswerIt does have one USB port which you could connect one wired controller to as opposed to the originals three USB ports. The gamecube adapter does function but you will not have rumble functionality.
A:AnswerThe quick setup guide for the dock we purchased shows the HDMI cable length to be 59 inches (1500 mm). The power cable is probably comparable in length to the comparable power components that come with the original Nintendo Switch. Both cables were more than adequate for use with a television cabinet in which the television is somewhat elevated above the base cabinet components.
A:AnswerIt should still fir on the dock with the case. I had to remove my case to use the dock, but it's thicker / larger than the one pictured. I could leave the joycon cases on, but had to remove the one on the body.
