QuestionWhen connecting this device, my laptop recognized it as a “mass storage device” and my antivirus runs a scan for possible threats, even with nothing connected to the docking station ports. Does this device have any storage space or internal memory?

QuestionI have this dock hooked up to 3 acer monitors. 2 via HDMI and 1 with VGA. My computer will only detect 1 screen. What am I doing wrong? My colleagues are using a similar setup and everything works with theirs

- Answer You probably have a hardware compatibility issue. Make sure you have the current driver and firmware installed. If it still doesn't work, verify that your video card and drivers are compatible. Some older computers don't support this docking station.

- Answer The case does allow alternate side for the cable to feed from. I would check for an Type C extension cable.

- Answer Yes, the Thunderbolt 4 ports on your Dell computer will support DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery towards the Docking Station. The HDMI, VGA, and Mic requires an installation of a driver, which are located on j5create website under the "Support tab" > "Downloads/Drivers". Thank you.

QuestionIs there an adapter to convert the USB-C to either USB 3 or HDMI and still get two additional monitor to work? USB-C tends to where out when you unplug it often and my laptops only have one USB-C don't want to wear it out. I would prefer a USB-C to USB 3

- Answer Yes, this device can run up to 3 monitors via HDMI, HDMI, VGA or HDMI, DP, VGA. The HDMI or DP are PnP ports (cannot be used at the same time). The stand alone HDMI and VGA requires an installation of a driver. Drivers are located on our website under the "Support" tab. Thank you.

- Answer Unfortunately, we do not have a high refresh rate monitor to test with. It may be possible with the HDMI or DP port, those are Plug n Play but will not work with the other stand alone HDMI port (driver base). However, to use the HDMI or DP port, your computer must support "DisplayPort Alt Mode" over USB-C for video out via HDMI. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. - Answer The only ports that will not work with Chrome OS is the VGA/HDMI and Mic ports. Those require an installation of a driver and is only available for Windows and Mac computers. The rest of the ports are PnP (Plug n Play). However, the Chromebook must support "DisplayPort Alt Mode" and "Power Delivery" through the USB-C port, for the DP or HDMI and Power-in ports to work. Without those features, the Dock will not function correctly. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. Thank you.

- Answer If you have the Legion Slim 7 Gen 6 you should have 2 x USB Type-C (DisplayPort, USB 3.1 Gen 2) that will work on the JCD543 Plug n Play ports. However, your USB-C port must also support "Power Delivery" for pass-through charge via USB-C power-in port on the JCD543 for it to work. You can use your Lenovo charger, if it came with a USB-C connection or the JUP2290. You would also have to download a driver for HDMI/VGA and Mic ports for proper functionality, which can be located on our website under the "Support" tab > "Downloads/Driver".
