QuestionI’m looking at replacing my GE gas cooktop(model #JGP990SEL1SS). The existing cut out is 29”x21”. This is slightly larger than what the Kitchen Aide KCGD500GSS 30” calls for. Is this cut out opening too large for this Kitchen Aide unit?

QuestionYour specs page says the depth of thus stove top is 18 and 7/16 inches. Surely this unit from the surface to the bottom under the cabinet can’t be about 1.5 feet. What is it really? Thanks.

- Answer I will say I had to call in a specialized installer for this job. Best Buy guys couldn't handle it and that's fine. It was tricky with gas lines and venting.

- Answer Mine was as replacement as well, but NOT same brand so that was probably the issue. I tried to purchase install through BestBuy and their guys couldn't do the gas lines. I bet it cost us almost $500 for install....

QuestionI purchased this stove top. Did it come with a converter for propane gas? If not where can I purchase this for this stove top and hire to install. It is simply replacing an older model. The electrical and gas line is installed. ASAP

- Answer Hello Teresa4L, If converting to Propane gas, see the “Propane Gas Conversion” instructions provided in the package containing literature. A qualified gas technician from your local gas company can do the conversion. We hope this helps.
