A:AnswerNo, most smaller, and less expensive speakers are not bi-amped (2 channels to 1 speaker). The bi-amped and bi-wired speakers are usually the larger ones like the Klipsch RP8000F, which I have. I know these speakers aren't really "cheap" but one has to go much higher in the cost category to get, or even need, bi-amped speakers.
A:AnswerI have a crappy Panasonic cd changer that I'm currently using as an amp. It has a listed 45wpc, and I think that may be at 6 ohms. So if I were to guess I would bet that real amps into 8ohms is... 20wpc.. maybe. These speakers still have plenty of power to shake my whole house. So if you're only worried about power I think you'd be good to go.
A:AnswerI recommend going to your Best Buy store and listen to the demo setup. It lets you push buttons to select among several speakers and you can make your decision. Consider how big your listening space is.
A:AnswerI'm a little bias probably but I've owned a few different systems in my life and I still have them but my favorite is my Onkyo model 3008 it's 10 years old and I've never had any problems!. 145W 9.2 and a monstrous 55#s it will crank untill I just can't stand it with no distorting that I can hear. My second would be a Yamaha I have putting out 130 or 135 it's a little smoother than the Onkyo but it just doesn't kick it as hard as the Onkyo.
A:AnswerThese are sold as individual speakers. It surprised me when I got home, opened the box and there was only one speaker! Had to go back to the store and get another. That ended up being more money than I expected for a pair of speakers, but they sound great. I'm very happy with them.
A:AnswerWe typically recommend 6 inches to a 1 foot of space between the back of the speaker and your wall. Ultimately this choice is personal preference.
A:AnswerAcoustically sounding these are great. One of the biggest differences will be thats your highs will be a lot more defined and clearer. I would suggest maybe a powered sub for added bass. The dual eights inch drivers are adequate but a powered sub will definitely enhance your experience. Also be mindful that these are rear ported so to get the best performance they will need to be pulled away from the wall at least 12 inches.
A:AnswerThe model listed is the R-820F floorstanding (tower) speaker. Connect this speaker to a receiver/amplifier that supplies close to 150 Watts per channel at 8 Ohms.
A:AnswerThe R-820F floorstanding speaker is a passive, non-powered speaker that will need to be connected to a receiver/amplifier that supplies close to 150 Watts per channel at 8 Ohms. The R-820F speaker itself does not feature Bluetooth functionality.
A:AnswerNot sure but I use the Demon AVR-S540BT and it sounds great and the temptation to go louder and louder is like building a hot rod and trying to keep from hammering down before you break the engine in. Kinda the same thing. Gonna get a good medium to loud 20 hours on them and then really get those woofers dancing even more
