QuestionCan I lower the resolution to 1366x768 to match my dual monitor Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421?I am currently using a Lenovo IdeaPad U300s 13.3" inch screen. I am pairing it with my Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421, as a dual monitor, and it works just perfectly. The maximum resolution on my U300s laptop is 1366x768. There are many reasons why I would like to upgrade to a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, but one of the deal breakers would be if I will have any difficulty pairing it with my dual monitor, since I use it almost all the time. I understand that the Yoga 2 Pro has a amazing 3200x1800 screen resolution, but my concern is that I might have a headache using two screens with different resolutions, and I am willing to lower the resolution for the sake of being uniform If I lower down the resolution on the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro to 1366x768, will the screen resolution be a little distorted since the screen on the Yoga 2 Pro is not really made for this? Or will it work just perfectly fine, as if I was using my U300s? Thanks!

- Answer Chris, you don't need to lower the resolution. With windows 8.1 you can have different object sizes for each monitor. In desktop right click on the screen and select screen resolution, then make text and other items larger or smaller, uncheck let me choose one scaling level for all my displays. Then select the size you prefer. I use Larger for the laptop screen and smaller for my 23 inch monitor. Hope this helps.

- Answer Anybody that has Windows 8 is eligible to upgrade to 8.1. It is a normal windows update.

- Answer You won't want to use the Yoga Pro 2 for newer games as it does not have a dedicated graphics card, however it works well with less graphically intensive games, and older games. I have played a lot of Torchlight 2 on it with no problem, and the same goes for older Civilization games and even Knights of the Old Republic. However, newer games (Call of Duty, Civilization: Beyond Earth) require a bit more graphical juice than this has.

QuestionPlaying my Blu Ray movies on the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2 ProI'd like to play my blu ray and regular Dvd movies on this Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2 Pro but I don't know how since it doesn't have a blu ray/dvd drive. Can a Blu Ray Player be purchased that can connect to one of the ports such as the USB 3.0? Thank you in advance.

QuestionFlickering at Low BrightnessI just purchased this laptop, but I am noticing that at low brightness on battery, the screen flickers randomly, especially right after coming out of sleep mode. This is NOT from the automatically adjusted screen brightness power saver, which is turned off on my computer. Is this a problem that anyone else has noticed from their Best Buy computer? I am considering returning it and purchasing another one, but I am afraid it will be the same on the other one.

- Answer I have noticed this myself on certain occasions. When I plug it in to charge it , it seems to go away. I was also thinking about going back to Best Buy and have them check it out.

- Answer I don't think so, and have never seen one. This laptop does not have the usual docking station connectors on the back like the older, bigger laptops do. You'd have to KVM it via HDMI and USB.

- Answer That's not ram, that is storage. Get your terms straight! I think about 40GB was used for OS and junk.

- Answer It has a little, but with the Solid State Drive you cannot tell with load up times, but you can goto the control panel and delete what you don't want. I'd look through them as some are completely free (not trials) and you may actually find use for them. I know I have.

- Answer Look for the wee white up arrow to the left of the system tray (those icons on the right of the task bar). "Show hidden icons" displays when you hover over it. Click that to open a small window with other running software. Look for the green icon with a tiny USB plug. Cliick that to open a menu and select the device or media you want to remove.

QuestionIs it possible to get this computer pre-installed with Windows 8.1 Enterprise (not Standard)? I need to connect this computer to a corporate domain.It seems like there is no direct way to simply upgrade the OEM Windows version to the Enterprise version by adding the appropriate volume license key.

QuestionGeneral Windows questionI previously asked if this machine gets a free Windows upgrade to 8.1 and the answer was 'yes'. Thanks for the response. My next question is around Windows upgrades in general. I have a PC running Vista and it sucks, but I need to spend a couple hundred for an upgrade. I also have an iPad and an iPhone and I get OS upgrades all the time for free. Will Windows also offer free upgrades if I buy this machine (ie, 8.2, 8.3, 9.1, etc) or are they still running with the old model where you have to pay?

- Answer First, it comes with 8.1, so there is no "upgrade" to 8.1 that you will be doing on this laptop. To answer your specific question, though, Microsoft will usually offer Service Packs for free, but new versions are paid. Microsoft will not likely be offering any upgrades to 9 for free.

QuestionAm i the only one facing problems?When i first bought this model, it started only once and then went dead. like completely dead. It was replaced immediately from Best Buy within the 30 day period. Now 6 months on the laptop crashes and windows is throwing up notifications that the memory has gone bad. Forums suggest that this is a failed model and that many people have had the same issue. I am in India where Lenovo India does not support this model. So i will have to take it to USA now. Will Best Buy do a replacement again or will i have to give it to Lenovo?

- Answer I have had my laptop for almost a year now and I have had nothing but amazing experiences. I have also never heard of anyone else having any problems. Seems like you need a replacement outside of India.
