Q: Questiondoes this work well with a Nucleus 8 processor
Asked by VJ.
- A:Answer Hi, VJ, the Nucleus 8 (cochlear implant processor) is Bluetooth compatible but unfortunately, it does not stream/connects with our Lexie B2 hearing aid Powered by Bose (or any other Lexie hearing aid). Thus, as a stand-alone hearing aid for mild to moderate hearing loss (perceived or diagnosed) the Lexie B2 hearing aid Powered by Bose will work. Still, it does not have the streaming capabilities to connect with another device such as a Nucleus 8 processor. Streaming functionality via Bluetooth in our Lexie B2 hearing aid Powered by Bose is designed for phone call streaming via iPhones only. As a stand-alone hearing aid for the better hearing ear (which is the ear without the CI), you have the opportunity to try our 45-day free trial.

Q: QuestionHi. I have a smartphone- IPhone but my parents do not. So once I set it up for my dad and leave, can they work w/o me- and any - smartphone there with my dad? In other words- do I and my Iphone have to be there for them to work AFTER I set them up? Thx
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hi, If your dad is only going to adjust the volume after set-up and nothing else, then technically the smartphone does not need to be there. However, it is recommended for the phone and devices to be used together as it makes it easier to troubleshoot the device and hearing aids if need be. An individual's experience with a hearing aid also changes over time so it might be that your dad needs to have some of the other features adjusted to improve his experience, and for that, the smartphone also needs to be there. The devices will only work with the phone it has been set up originally. You will have to download the app and log into a different phone and pair the devices on there if you want to use it with any other smartphone. Lexie Hearing team
