  • QuestionHow long does the whole wash take?

    Asked by judy.

    • Answer If you are washing on a sanitary cycle it will be about two hours for the wash… The dryer will be another two hours possibly Slightly less. Account for approx four hours total. The washer has quicker cycles in sanitary but I normally run towels etc thru sanitary cycle. It has a delicate, handwash/WOOLS, cotton’, bulky & speed wash to choose from. I will probably go with a different manufacturer next time as the dryer died on me six months after the three-year warranty expired.

  • Questioncan I stack the DLEC855R LG dryer on this unit? We need to replace our LG washer, but the dryer is still performing. A salesperson told us that we would need to buy a new dryer as well, but would prefer not to if possible

    Asked by chicago.

    • Answer A compact Washer like the LG WM1388HW 2.2 which I have, is a Standalone Washer. It has an ordinary 110-120volt Electric Plug. All it needs is 120v, Water, and a Drain, and you're in business. I have a Compact, Panda 3.75cu ft Dryer. My Dryer has a ordinary, regular 120v plug. Both the compact washer and compact dryer, are separate units. You can wash in one. You can dry in the other. If one Breaks, you replace the broken one. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A WORKING DRYER-, And it has a funny Electric plug for 220volts. Just Replace the Electric Plug On the Dryer so it then plugs into the wall directly. A Dryer can only be 120v, or 220volts. 120volts is an ordinary, regular Electric Plug. 220v has a different Electric Plug. If Needed, just buy a new Plug for the Dryer to plug into the wall directly. ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO REPLACE BOTH THE WASHER AND DRYER. IF ONE WORKS--STILL USE IT. REPLACE ONLY THE BROKEN ONE. If the Dryer has a weird oddball Electric-Plug. Determine if you need a 120v plug, or a 220v Plug. All a Dryer needs is to plug into the wall for power.. Buy a replacement plug for the Dryer to plug into the wall by Itself. Keep Using the washer and dryer as separate machines. Standalone units.

  • QuestionWhere do I put bleach? Usually there is a bleach dispenser?

    Asked by Mary.

    • Answer There isn’t really a place specifically for bleach. There’s detergent, pre-wash, and fabric softener… I usually dump it in after my laundries gotten wet after the Laundry soap.

  • Questionwill this machine fit in the space of my dishwasher and use the same plumbing?

    Asked by sjod.

    • Answer The W x H x D dimensions for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 2.3 cu. ft. Model # WM1377HW are: 24”x 33 1/2”x 25 1/4”. 1" clearance on all sides of the washing machine are needed for water lines, the drain line, and airflow. The connectors for the Hot and Cold water inlet hoses for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 2.3 cu. ft. Front Load Washer in White, Model # WM1388HW are 3/4" female connectors on either end. Regrettably, we do not know what type of of faucets you have nor the size or if the faucets require a male or female connector to determine if you can connect the washer's hoses. The other concern with regards to draining the unit through the sink drain will be if it can handle the volume of discharge from the washer. The last thing you will want is flooding if the drain cannot withstand the volume. For that, you may want to check with your building codes or building inspector. ^CP

  • QuestionThis is only 2.3 cubic ft. But the matching stackable dryer (DLEC888W) is 4.2 cubic ft. (near Double the size?) How big is 2.3 cubic ft, compared to a standard washer of 4.2? Can this handle a bunch of towels in one load? Sweatshirts + jeans?

    Asked by LGconsumer.

    • Answer Due to the variation of sizes in clothing and towels we would be unable to provide a total number of pieces that could fit into this unit. If you have additional questions please reach out to us via Twitter @LGUSSupport or Facebook www.Facebook.com/LGSupportUSA ^CP
