A:AnswerThe first one we bought leaked from the rear water connection where the line enters the ice maker. The line had a crack in it. Best Buy replaced it with a new refrigerator in 2 days. The second one has been fine. My daughter bought the same refrigerator with no leaks or problems at all.
A:AnswerFollowing installation, please allow 24 hours for the unit to cool and reach desired temperature. Please note the displayed temperature is the target temperature, and not the actual temperature of the refrigerator. The actual refrigerator temperature depends on the food inside the refrigerator. The icemaker will not begin to operate until it reaches its operating temperature of 15 °F (–9 °C) or below. It will then begin operation automatically if the icemaker power switch is in the ON (I) position. ^Daphane

A:Answeryes- 16 inches x 13 inches in freezer top drawer (the one with the ice bucket) and 14 x 16 (or longer if you adjust the sliding storage bar) in the bottom. plenty of room on fridge doors for soda, beer, juice, milk. the unit seems to have a lot of shelf space and door space. we're very happy after 30 days - and especially happy to get rid of our Samsung 4-door model that was an absolute disaster - and Samsung never reimbursed consumers for their many known defects. LG is a pleasant surprise. extremely quiet and very spacious. we opted for simplicity with no water dispenser and no ice dispenser on door - just ice bucket in top freezer drawer. in the bottom. we're very happy - even though you can't store a very large pizza!

A:AnswerThe Sealed System in the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 22.8 cu. ft. French Door Counter-Depth Refrigerator, Model # LFCC22426S or in any refrigerator for that matter, is a system in which refrigeration occurs. It is composed of the suction tube, metering device evaporator, condenser and compressor. The compressor increases the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant that enters it. The refrigerant enters the compressor and condenser in gas form and emerges in liquid form. The high-temperature, high-pressure liquid refrigerant travels into a metering device or capillary tube and exists with a low pressure and temperature. It then passes through the evaporator inside the freezer and turns into a low-pressure, low-temperature gas upon exiting.
The gas moves into the suction tube and proceeds into the compressor, restarting the entire process. As long as the gas doesn’t leak out, refrigeration occurs continuously since refrigerators always have a gas supply. This system is referred to as a "Sealed System" for the obvious reasons, everything is sealed and nothing is leaked out into the surrounding environment or leached into your food. Airflow is essential in the proper functioning of a refrigerator. Stopping or obstructing the airflow may cause a refrigerator to malfunction. The evaporator inside the freezer has a fan above it that provides air into the freezer and fresh food compartments. Refrigerators also have a fan below them that provides airflow, assists with the condensing process and helps prevent the compressor from overheating. Defrosting is an important process that prevents ice buildup to avoid blocking airflow...^IFV
