• A:Answer The differences between the two air conditioners is that the LG 340 Sq. Ft. 8,200 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW8019ER has a higher BTU rating (8,200 BTU v 8,000 BTU). IT is a bigger unit (W x H x D dimensions are 27.16 x 18.44 x 23.47 inch v 22.64 x 15.55 x 21.46 inch) so it wqill fit into larger sized standard single-hung or double hung windows. It has a Top Down Chassis type versus a Slide In-Out chassis type for Model # LW8016ER and it is a quieter unit ( Noise Indoor dB (A) (High/Mid/Low) - 53/51/49 versus Noise Indoor dB (A) (High/Low) of 58/52 for Model # LW8016ER)...^IFV

We manufacture Window Air conditioners that require a standard single hung or double hung window for proper installation, or Through-the-Wall Air Conditioners that require a wall sleeve to support the weight of the air conditioner when installed in a wall....^IFV

• A:Answer You cannot use the LG 340 Sq. Ft. 8,200 BTU Window Air Conditioner - White, Model # LW8019ER "in-wall" instead of a window opening. It requires a standard single-hung or double-hung window for proper installation and unlike a through-the-wall air conditioner that does not have louvers in its sides and can be installed in a wall sleeve that gives it support in a wall, the louvers on the sides of the window air conditioner cannot be covered up or obstructed because not only woud that reduce its ability to cool, it could also cause the unit to burn itself out prematurely...^IFV

Ft. 8,200 BTU Window Air Conditioner - White, Model # LW8019ER is designed for installation in standard single-hing or double-hung windows with actual opening widths from 27" to 39" and the top and bottom window sashes must open sufficiently to allow a clear vertical opening of 16" from the bottom of the upper sash to the inside sill. When selecting an appropriately sized Air Conditioner for the room that you intend to install it in, you will need to select an air conditioner with the right BTU rating. If you can give us the square footage for the room that you intend to install the Air Conditioner in, we can narrow the selection down to the appropriately sized air conditioner for your room & check the specifications to see if it will fit in your window...^IFV

• A:Answer The BTU ratings for those models are different. As indicated in the title for the LG - 340 Sq. Ft. 8,200 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW8019, it has a BTU rating of 8,200 BTU so it covers a room of about 320 square feet. They also use different refrigerants. The LW8019ER uses R32 refrigerant and has a Dry Air Flow (CFM) of 280 and has dehumidifies 2.2 pints per hour. The LG 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW6019ER on the other hand covers a room of 260 square feet, uses R410A refrigerant, has a CFM of 195, and dehumidifies 1.8 pints per hour...^IFV
