QuestionIF I put this unit on a timer switch to have it turn out certain days of the week, will it start up and retain its last fan/temperature settings when the power is turned on by the switch? if it does, is that true of ALL LG window air conditioners?

QuestionCan you tell me if you carry an air conditioner with a maximum height of 10 inches. My windows in the downstairs have a clearance of 11 inches.

- Answer The "unit"is about 11 1/2 inches top to bottom. The ruts along the top and bottom for support, bring the decive to approx 14 inches top to bottom. I cannot confirm if they can be removed to reduce the profile of the unit.

QuestionRecently purchased this model and on very humid days the inside top part of the AC builds up heavy condensation (see photos) where it could easily run off to the floor and fall on the extension plug. LG send a tech who was useless. Any ideas/help?

QuestionI see that the top of the AC that is positioned outside does not have vents? So how does the unit that position outside ventilate? From the sides? Also is there any downside to this unit than from the standard AC? Or something before Ordering it?

- Answer The unit has vents along the sides and back for air flow on tbe outside. In tbe inside, it has a vent at the bottom and sides but no top. I love this unit and keep it on energy saver mode and it cools my living room noticeably in about 10 minutes. Only downside is the unit fan for blowing air is pretty weak vs say my floor unit or even a smaller Frigidaire window unit. That said, the air flow is still great. I would recommend for faster cooling, using a small rotating desk fan somewhere to just encourage even air flow. But its not required.

QuestionDoes this slide out of the chassis for easy installation of a new one if needed?

- Answer The unit arrived all one piece, except for the window panels which needed to be attached to the chassis. If you need a new one for whatever reason, looks to me like you'd have to replace the entire A/C, chassis included. It does look like there are service screws on each side, though. I assume the chassis can be removed *somewhat easily* for repairs so a service person can get to the parts on the inside. But it doesn't look like this is meant for the end consumer (either for storage or to send the unit back for repair).
