• A:Answer Hi Nate. The LG 6.3 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Convection Range with EasyClean, Model # LRE3194ST . must be installed and grounded on a branch circuit by a qualified technician in accordance with the National Electrical code ANSI/NFPA NO. 70 - latest edition. All wiring should conform to Local and NEC codes. This range requires a single-phase, 3 wire, A.C 120/208 V or 120/240 V 60 Hz electrical system. If the wire in your conduit is copper, it must be #8-gauge AWG or #10-gauge AWG wiring. If it is aluminum, it must be #6-gauge or #8-gauge AWG wiring.The range has a KW Rating at 240V of 13.5 kW so you can use #8 AWG cable and a 40-amp breaker, or #6 cable and a 50-amp breaker. The NEC makes this allowance because the nameplate rating is based on the oven and burners all being on HIGH at the same time, which doesn’t happen very often. Please consult with your local building inspector ...^IFV

• A:Answer Hi Lorie. Power cords are not supplied with Electric Range Ovens and they have to be purchased separately. The LG 6.3 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Convection Range with EasyClean, Model # LRE3194BD can be connected with either a 3-wire power cord or 4-wire UL - listed range cord with closed-loop terminals, open-end spade lugs with upturned ends or similar termination. Do not install the power cord without a strain relief. range cord rated at 40 amps with 120/240 minimum volt range is required. Please be sure to check with your local building inspector about which cord is permitted in your building or house...^IFV

Q: QuestionThis range is rated at 240 Volts and using 56amps. But the manual only recommends a 40 or 50 amp receptacle at 240 volts. SInce the range requires 56amps and you only supply it with a 40 or 50 amp circuit that will cause the breaker to trip. a typo?
