  • QuestionIs there wifi on this dryer? I see “smart diagnosis” app icon but don’t see a wifi to connect to the app? After six months of usage I feel the sensor dry option is out of sync. My clothes are damp somewhat still after a normal cycle.

    • Answer The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Electric Dryer with FlowSense™ - White, Model # DLE3400W does not have a cycle called "Tumble Dry". It has an Air Dry cycle that is designed for items that require heat-free drying. The temperatures for the other drying cycles on the dryer can be adjusted. The Wrinkle Care option is designed to tumble the load periodically for up to 3 hours after the selected cycle, or until the door is opened which is helpful in preventing wrinkles when you are unable to remove items from the dryer immediately....^IFV

Ft. 8-Cycle Electric Dryer with FlowSense™ - White, Model # DLE3400W, and are you using a 4-wire plug or direct wiring to a conduit? You may want to consult with a qualified electrician about the wiring. The dryer is supplied with the neutral wire grounded. This white ground wire MUST BE MOVED to the neutral terminal when a 4-wire cord is to be used, or where grounding through the neutral conductor is prohibited. Pages 23 - 26 in your owner's manual have explicit instructions and illustrated diagrams showing the wiring for both a 3-wire and 4-wire connection.     • Answer Hi Jessaw18. Like all other major appliances, the ENERGY STAR® Certified LG 7.4 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Electric Dryer with FlowSense™, Model # DLE3400W or its matching washer has to be plugged into its own individual outlet (i.e. a dedicated outlet) They dryer doesnot plug into the washer. Electric dryers have to be plugged into a 240V outlet while washers have to be plugged into a 120V outlet. Gas dryers plug into a 120 V outlet as well...^IFV

The drum of the dryer is held in place by rollers and a belt, and it is not sealed with cement. For proper operation, the maximum recommended vent length is 65 feet for a 4-inch rigid metal duct when no elbows are used. However, each 90-degree turn in the duct reduces the maximum length by about 6 feet. If your vent system includes multiple turns, the effective vent length could be shorter.
