Q: QuestionFor the drum light, some reviews say the light turns off on its own too soon. Others say there is no issue with the light. Does the light stay on when the door is open until it is closed or does it time out? If it times out, can it be turned back on?
Asked by 4KBeliever.
This question was asked about the related product: LG - 7.4 Cu. Ft. Stackable Smart Electric Dryer with Steam and Built-In Intelligence - Black Steel
- A:Answer We have found the light will time out eventually. It will also stay on after the door is closed until you start a cycle. If the light times out, close the door and open again to reset.

Q: QuestionMy dryer will not run more than a couple of minutes when a cycle is selected. What am I doing wrong?
Asked by Retired.
- A:Answer Hi there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry regarding the DLEX4000W stopping shortly after starting. This can often occur if the FlowSense™ system detects a restriction in your home's exhaust vent or if the lint filter needs cleaning. We recommend checking your external venting for blockages to ensure proper airflow. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-7-4-cu-ft-stackable-smart-electric-dryer-with-steam-and-built-in-intelligence-white/J7G564PZYZ If you have any further questions about its features, please contact us on [email protected], and our team will be more than happy to assist you. —Renzo

Q: QuestionI sent this dryer as a gift to a friend in Europe and didn't realize that this dryer operates on 60Hz where as Europe operates on 50Hz. If they plug this into a 240V/30A/"50Hz" electrical system, would the dryer motor slow down or it would blow out?
Asked by Patrick.
This question was asked about the related product: LG - 7.4 Cu. Ft. Stackable Smart Electric Dryer with Steam and Built-In Intelligence - Black Steel
- A:Answer If the LG DLEX4000B dryer is plugged into a 240V/30A/50Hz electrical system, the motor may slow down and the dryer may not function properly. The motor is designed to operate at 60Hz, and a 50Hz electrical system may not provide enough power to operate the motor at full capacity. Additionally, using the dryer on a 50Hz electrical system may cause other electrical parts in the system to malfunction or fail. It is not recommended to use the dryer on a 50Hz electrical system, and it may be necessary to purchase a new dryer that is compatible with the electrical system in Europe.
