QuestionWill this work with AT&T Uverse? I have a booster from AT&T (CISCO) which is not that great. Also have one wireless remote box for TV.

- Answer I've never had good luck setting up routers behind the U-Verse gateway. While it works on most routers, I have still had issues (not with this router but I no longer have U-Verse). You can set it up on it's own independent network and go in through the gateway and set up DMZ to the MAC address of the new router.

QuestionHow farLike if was trying to get my router wifi from like down the road or a street over

- Answer From my experience it can go 10,000 sq ft without interruption (we have a large warehouse we tried it in). If you have walls in the way (like if you are trying to get a signal on your patio) it can go roughly about 50 feet outside of our brick walls and not lose any strength, but once you get around 250 feet it starts to die off. But this does not necessarily mean you will see the same results.

QuestionWe recently upgraded to charter spectrum high speed internet that came available in our area.received new modem.still using linksys e2500 router which supports two ipads.so slow.will linksys ea9500 solve problem.

- Answer Ours didn’t get it done so we sent it back. Went to Linksys Velop. Same result, back it went. Just got an Eero wireless mesh router with 5 nodes. Seems to do it well.

- Answer Update - June 14, 2019 These are still the older version and I’m very disappointed. Ordered online and received it today. If I had wanted an older version, I would have picked a competitor who is selling the same older model for half the price. At this point, I would not recommend ordering one unless you want to try your luck and likely have to take it back.

QuestionThe ea 9500 version 2 available? If so what B.B. has it and what is the B.B. skew number? I have been looking for version 2 of this and can’t find it anywhere even though people say they have purchased it.

- Answer The SKU is the same. The new version simply replaced the older 1.1 which replaced the 1.0 versions. You can go to any bestbuy that shows them in stock and check the box. As new models are available, they get integrated with the existing stock counts until all the old models are sold or sent back to the manufacturer.

QuestionIs this the newest version V2 not V! ?? the 9500v2 has 1024 RAM instead of 256, both USB ports are 3.0 and the CPU is the newer Broadcom quad chip at 1.8Ghz instead of dual 1.4

QuestionI have 1 gigabit internet fiber through Grande, will this work with them? I was told that I can turn off the wifi on said modem they supply and use this router. Is this true?

- Answer It should... I've got a 1G fiber connection through Cox and I just disconnected their 1700AC router and swapped it out. As long as they've got a modem or terminal box for the fiber that gives you access to a Cat 5 port you should be able to just connect it and go (with fiber, I didn't even have to call support to have them reset the service once or update the MAC address).

- Answer This router does have FTP capability. It has 2 usb ports on the back. I use it as a backup in case I forget my external HDD at work.

- Answer This is a wireless router, not a modem or uverse access box. So, yes - it will work with whatever internet service youi have, but it won;t replace your modem from the carrier. You have to connect this with an ethernet cable to the uverse modem.

- Answer Yes. Use this router connected first. Then connect the Apple router to the Linksys. Set the Apple router to bridged . First of all the Linksys is faster, secondly they both run their wireless bands without any interference. Awesome setup.

- Answer The bar code on the V1 and V2 box is the same. The only way to tell is the left side of the box. V2 has the WAN port to the left of the 8 LAN ports on the picture and 1.8 Ghz Quad Core Processor.

- Answer Hi, JonhSmith. It should be listed as Linksys EA9500 Max-Stream AC5400 MU-MIMO Gigabit Router. Try to reboot the router and check again.
