- Answer the device comes with one year of free service - after the year is up, additional years are currently US $39 - they do not charge by the month, only yearly subscriptions are available

QuestionI have had a MagicJack Plus for years and the device got hacked. The hacker used a MagicJack App for Windows to access my account. Since MagicJack GO attaches directly to the router, what would prevent the device from being hacked? There's no firewall.

- Answer generally the only way to protect devices like this is to invest in a router with a built in firewall - also using a very strong password for your account may also help mitigate this problem in the future

- Answer No, you don't have to buy the whole unit again. But, it does have a yearly fee. When you activate your Magic Jack it will help you sign up for auto-renew of the plan you choose.

- Answer No it does not work, and all the answers saying it's a satellite issue are somewhat correct. The problem is that Hughes Network have their own phone system they want u to purchase, therefor magic jack will never work with their satellite internet. Skype is Voip, so is magic jack, yet Skype for me works. That says a lot.

- Answer Not everything, you need an internet connection as well. If you have a device plugged into your modem, you may need a router to split this one port into multiple so you can plug this in as well. Once you connect the Magic Jack to your internet (via provided Ethernet cable, you will then need to plug in a phone/base to the Magic Jack. You will need a computer/phonetablet to register the device online and configure your account.

QuestionCan I use Magicjzck in Spain with an IPhone 7 to call other usa travelers who will also be in Spain? Our cell phone service doen't have an international plan available. Do have high speed internet at home and will leave the router on. Thanks

- Answer Yes.... as long as you have the internet, the magic jack work everywhere. As long as you have the internet, you magic jack works like you are home it does not matter where you are at. I have been using magicjack over 10 years and it works great.... any more question, please just let me know. I will tell you what i know about magic jack. thanks
