  • QuestionHow noisy is this refrigerator?

    Asked by RefrigeratorQuestion.

    • Answer It is not noisy at all after the first week. It will only work for one week then you will have to the Maytag repair man come try and fix it. But he want be able to fix it cause their are not parts to fix it. So it is not noisy cause it Is not plugedin. Because you will be waiting on parts to fix it. For me this is month three of waiting for a part to fix the unit. Maytag tells me that my standards for a fridge are to high. I have to agree with them. I think that if You put a gallon of milk in the frigid it should stay cold for a day or so. Maytag says that is to high of a standard for their refrigerators. Keeping food cold for more that a few hours is not what they designed their refrigerators to do. They are basically making insulated cabinets and selling them as refrigerators. You will be better off just buying a yeti cooler to store your food. Better love to camp cause you are going to be using an ice chest while you wait on parts.

  • QuestionThe freezer is set for the "coldest" but the ice cream isn't frozen at all. Even bread isn't frozen. Any suggestions? We have this located in the garage. The fridge side works fine. Thank you

    Asked by cole24.

    • Answer cole24, This refrigerator is designed for indoor household use only. This refrigerator is intended for use in a location where the temperature ranges from a minimum of 55°F (13°C) to a maximum of 110°F (43°C). The preferred room temperature range for optimum performance, which reduces electricity usage and provides superior cooling, is between 60°F (15°C) and 90°F (32°C). It is recommended that you do not install the refrigerator near a heat source, such as an oven or radiator.

  • QuestionHow do I troubleshoot why the refrigerator half is not cooling

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Thank you for sharing your experience. We regret to hear about the cooling concerns with your refrigerator. Please review the professional troubleshooting guide below. Refrigerator Cooling Troubleshooting Environment & Installation Location and Temperature: The refrigerator is designed for indoor, household use only, with an ambient temperature range of 55°F (13°C) to 110°F (43°C). Operating outside this range may lead to improper temperatures or reduced performance. Heat Sources: Do not install the refrigerator near an oven, radiator, or other heat source. For best performance, do not block the base grille or install the unit behind a cabinet door. Leveling: Ensure the refrigerator is level, as this is important for proper overall operation. Check that the floor is level and use shims if necessary. Refer to your Owner's Manual or Installation Instructions for model-specific leveling information. https://youtu.be/Ia_j-CyogtcIf Power, Mode, and Initial Use Power Outage: The Power Outage indicator (on some models) signals that the power supply was interrupted and the freezer temperature rose. The display will show “Power Outage” with an alert tone. Touch any button to stop the tone, and touch any button again to clear the icon. Showroom/Demo Mode: This mode (on some models) is for retail display and prevents cooling. If the word “Showroom” lights up on the display, consult your Owner’s Manual for the model-specific sequence to exit this mode. Cooling Function: Verify the cooling function is turned On, as some models may need to be manually turned back on after a power surge/outage or may have been accidentally turned off during cleaning. Consult your Owner's Manual for specific instructions. Recent Installation: Allow 24 hours for the freezer to reach proper temperatures. Check that the freezer door seals correctly and rearrange any bins or packaging material as necessary. Large Load: Adding a large amount of food or beverages warms the unit. It can take several hours for the temperature to stabilize. Maintenance and Settings Condenser Coils: Routine cleaning is generally not needed. However, in greasy, dusty, or high pet traffic environments, clean the condenser every 2 to 3 months for maximum efficiency. Refer to the Owner's Manual for model-specific cleaning information, as some models may require a certified technician. https://youtu.be/YHiIZnK-6CY Temperature Controls: Controls are factory-preset to the ""mid setting."" Wait at least 24 hours between adjustments and then recheck the temperature. Adjust the control to the next higher setting to make the refrigerator colder, or the next lower setting to make it less cold. Repeat this process until the desired temperature is reached. Consult your Owner's Manual for model-specific control panel information. https://youtu.be/OD_vwmOav78 Airflow/Vents: Ensure proper airflow between the freezer and refrigerator compartments. Locate the vents and confirm that nothing is blocking the airflow. Blocked vents can lead to temperature and moisture issues. Avoid placing temperature-sensitive items (eggs, liquids) in the direct airflow path. Refer to 'Check the Air Vents for Blockage - Ensuring Proper Air Flow' for more information. Motor Run Time & Door Use: The motor runs longer under warm conditions; normal run time is about 40% to 80% of the time. The refrigerator will warm up when the door is opened often or for prolonged periods, which can also allow excess moisture in, potentially causing frost or condensation. Try to minimize the frequency and duration of door openings. If the issue persists, we recommend contacting Maytag® directly at 800-344-1274 for further assistance. Our representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.

  • QuestionRE: Maytag - 25 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Freestanding Refrigerator, Fingerprint Resistant - Stainless Steel Is this refrigerator magnetic? Is the optional icemaker interior only, meaning it does not have a dispenser on the door? How do you order that?

    Asked by Jenn.

    • Answer Hello, thank you for your question. While the refrigerator can hold magnets, we do not recommend it. It can help adhere moisture to the surface of unit, and can cause staining.
