QuestionWon't pair automatically?Instructions say once they're paired the first time, they should pair automatically in future, but I have to manually pair to my ipod each time. My (identical) rocketfish headphones paired automatically. Is my modal pair defective?

- Answer I have my Modal phones paired to my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone, and Galexy Tab Pro tablet, and a Lenovo Android Tablet, and I've never had to re-pair manually with any of these devices. I'm not an iOS person, so I can't say for sure, but the behavior you describe is not consistent with my experience. Maybe there is a problem with your particular headset.

- Answer I called customer service after I thought the box with the ear foams had been thrown away and I was told to go to Walmart or Radio Shack. Modal doesn't sell replacement ear pads.

- Answer You used to be able to buy them from Rocketfish.....if you bought the protection plan you can take them back and they will replace them. I could not find a web page for Modal and am not sure if they are a part of Rocketfish or not......you should have gotten an extra set when you purchased yours to begin with......anyway, I am sure GeekSquad would be able to help you locate where to order them.

QuestionI can pair the device to my computer but I cannot connect. It has worked fine for a couple of months but suddenly will not connect. Any suggestions?I have been using my Modal MD-HPBT01 for a couple of months. Now I can no longer get it to connect. It pairs with no problem (Windows 7) but it will not connect. I get 'A connection attempt has failed. Make sure that the MD-HPBT01 is turned on, and then try again'. I have tried removing the device from the computer and adding it again. It pairs fine but will not connect. I have removed the pairing from my phone in case that was the problem but it has not helped.

- Answer Go to settings on your computer under Bluetooth. Make sure to take your headphones are off the list. You have it scan for new devices. Make sure your headphones are set to pair with the lights flashing red blue red blue red blue and then your computer will find it and you can connect it.

QuestionI need help with sound break up and cut outI have a Samsung Galaxy III 4G. After using this Modal device for a period of time around 15 minutes the headset breaks up real bad, I then have to push the external speaker icon and push the headset icon and the sound goes back to normal. The same thing happens on my wife's Iphone. Before the Modal headset I had the Motorola S305 and they work fine for over a year until the head band broke. What is going on here help........

- Answer More than likely a short in your phones, I would take them back if you have the warranty and just swap them

QuestionHeadphones Not WorkingAfter using the headphones successfully for about 1 month, they suddenly stopped working. I completed an overnight charge, verified that the charge light was blue, connected them to my phone via bluetooth, listened to music for a short time and then suddenly they stopped working. No flashing charger lights, nothing happens when I push the play/power button. No lights when I plug then into the charger. Just appears to be dead. What can I do?

Questionwill these Modal MD-HPBT01-BK headphones work with windows7 laptop?I have paired the headphones and troubleshooter says no issue found and see them fine in Bluetooth devices. However, I don’t see them listed when I check in sound settings as I try to setup as default device and try to actually use them.

QuestionMy headphones aren't charging after low battery warning?It said low battery , I turned them off saw the red light. Now when I plug them in they won't charge.

- Answer Try doing a hard reset. Push the On toggle and the Volume Up button at the same time. Then try plugging them in to charge. The red light comes on until they are charged then turns solid blue.

- Answer Your Kindle will have to have Bluetooth capability to work with any Bluetooth device. Only the Kindle Fire HD's have Bluetooth options.

QuestionWas Working, Then NotWas listening to music just fine one minute, then the unit stopped. There are no lights on, and the unit does not appear to be charging from either the outlet nor powered USB hub. Appears to be DOA. It's passed Best Buy's return policy but would think it's still covered by manufacture warranty. How/where can I go to get an RMA to return/replace the headphones?

- Answer First go to Best Buy. I had the same problem and they took the item back and replaced it with a better one as they did not have the same item. Next look at your paperwork from the manufacture and see if there is a number to call. If not look the phone number up and call. I'm sure they will give you the answer you are looking for

Questionmy red light has been on charging for 15hrsI just bought my headphones yesterday and plugged them in to charge. The red light is on and when i woke up today it is still red. I unplugged and re-plugged and still red, does it really take this long to charge or bad headphones?

- Answer It sounds like they may have a faulty cell in the battery, that is not allowing it to fully charge. I would suggest taking the unit back to your local Best Buy store and exchanging for another set.
