A:Answer It is controlled by a knob on the back that works like a joystick, the windows thing is I am pretty sure like any normal monitor, and if you set the sound to output to the monitor it will come out of only the monitor, I think whenever it's plugged in it automatically sets it to the monitor sound, and you can display it to the monitor from the laptop but still use headphones
