A:AnswerThe Netgear - Docsis 3.0 Cable Modem has one ethernet port, but for purposes of connecting to a router which would provide many ethernet ports, the cable modem only having one ethernet port is sufficient.
A:AnswerIt's not a question of this modem or a wireless-AC router. I'm not sure of Time Warner's requirements for those services. Theoretically it can handle those speeds, but you'd have to inquire what number of download & upload channels are needed for their service. They should be able to provide you those numbers. This modem is 16x4 (16 download channels and 4 upload channels). Aside from that, a Wireless-AC router will be faster than a Wireless-N router. There'd be a significant difference in performance among tasks that involve traffic between machines on the same network. In regards to online gaming, it depends on the connection speeds to the servers you're using. The more bandwidth they use, the greater the difference you'd notice. If you already have a wireless-N router, you can check your connection and see how much of your available network bandwidth it's using. If it's saturating it (ie: using all of it), then you'll see an improvement with AC, but I unfortunately can't say how much of an improvement, other than that there will be one. Overall, Wireless-AC won't hurt and you'll *likely* see some improvement, but without knowing your full setup and the servers you connect to, etc. it's impossible to say *how* much improvement. To be honest, I don't even know what kind of bandwidth those games use and if it's already below the wireless-N's speeds, then you won't see anything. But keep in mind, you'll be able to handle *more* users at the same time at higher bandwidths with Wireless-AC.
