Q: QuestionI would like to turn off my cable tv and just stream - I was told I would need a "mesh network" Modem ....is this a mesh network one ?

• A:Answer I currently am using this modem, NETGEAR CM1000 32X8 MODEM, for WiFi only as I too do not have cable TV. I also use the NETGEAR RAX48 AX5200 ROUTER. All I do is stream programs from the variious Apps i've downloaded onto my Sony Smart TV. With this combination, I have no issues streaming through Amazon Prime, Netflix and a whole host of other Apps. Easy, Peasy.

• A:Answer It is not compatible with voice. We ran into this issue, though we never use our landline. You can either keep both modems (one for voice and one for internet), or you can remove voice.
