QuestionI have CenturyLink as an Internet provider and their modem/router for WIFI and our internet is really really slow. We do have a lot of things running off of it but my question is will this help to make everything run better?

- Answer It should. Also if you are renting you gateway from the cable company you might want to purchase your own and match everything for optimal performance

QuestionOn a comparison with the Nighthawk unit, it says max connected devices is 12. I currently have 16+ connected devices. In addition, friends and family visit and connect with their devices. Is the 12 devices limit valid?

- Answer 16 max? Really? I don't recall reading that but I can tell you that I much more than that with 4 smart TV's, 4 tablets, 3 smart phones, 8 Sonos Players, 2 laptops, 4 Wireless D-Link Cameras, 2 Apple TVs, 1 Amazon Firestick, 1 Amazon Alexa, 2 Wifi Printers and an Xbox. And likely there are more that Im forgetting. Plus guests use our wifi all the time. Have had this router in place for 2 months now and everything works. Maybe the 16 limit, if real, is accessing the wifi at the same time?

QuestionHow come when I setup my nighthawk the internet speeds didn't change. They stayed the exact same as before I bought it. Did I set it up wrong or ?

- Answer It's unlikely Dylan. The weak (read slow) link is your service provider. That is unless your provider can provide Gigabit speeds, which is extremely unlikely.

QuestionWill this work with the NETGEAR - CM600 DOCSIS 3.0 High-Speed Cable Modem and will the two work out and run together properly delivering high-speed internet enough to play PS4? thanks

- Answer it will work great i use it with charter high speed internet and it works great and i also play online on p4 with no problems in fact we have 2 ps4s going at the same time and a tablet and a roku tv with no problems

- Answer This router provides more control and gives you the ability to extend your network. If you do not need parental controls and such or to extend your wireless network, then what you have should be sufficient.

- Answer This unit only serves up DHCP addresses, when a new computer connects. It has no concept of locality; that's from your ISP, via your cable modem.

- Answer Yes this does work with Atlantic Broadband. You will still need to buy a modem or pay a lower rental fee on a modem. It also improved my browsing speed a lot. I feel like I get the speed I pay for now.

QuestionMediacom ConnectivityI currently have Mediacom as a provider. Can I attach this device to me Mediacom Router to increase performance??

- Answer Not necessarily. Too many things can cause performance issues (i.e. network card, bad modem, bad router). best bet would be to have Mediacom come out and do a performance test before modem and then at modem to see where issue lies. They may be able to fix issue without replacing any hardware. If you are just looking for better wifi performance then yes this will work.

- Answer Wouldn’t count on it, can’t really use it to access the internet either after about 12 months it becomes a useless brick that doesn’t even do the main thing it is made to do.
